Nurses Day was celebrated at Rungta Hospital with full enthusiasm and vigor.

International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on 12 May on the birth anniversary of Madam Florence Nightingale.

This Day was celebrated at Rungta Hospital with full enthusiasm and vigour. All the Nursing Staff, Consultants, Heads of Department and Doctors of the Hospital have participated in the celebrations. Shri RP Rungta, Chairman Rashleela ( RUNGTA ) Group was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The program started with paying of homage to Florence Nightingale. This was followed by a cultural program by the Nursing Staff.

Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly , Reward & Recognition were announced by The Chairman.

To make the Nursing Staff feel special on the day, the Managing Director has provided two tickets for Movie Piku and snacks to each Nursing Staff.

The Medical Director has emphasised about the importance of Nursing in Healthcare and the theme of the Nursing Day 2015, “A Force for Change: Care Effective, Cost Effective”. He expressed that the Nursing is the Heart beat of Healthcare and backbone of Hospital.

Prizes were awarded to the deserving staff in the following categories :-

Hard Worker, Dedicated Worker, Best Skilled Staff
Best Behaviour & The Father of Nursing, Rungta Hospital

The Chairman during his oration on the occasion has expressed that the theme of this year’s International Nurses day lies in the services provided to the patients by the Nursing Staff. He also expressed that the Nursing staff is a group of fortunate people who chose the profession of nursing as this is one of the noblest profession. The program came to an end with the vote of thanks by Mr Ashok Sharma, Nursing Superintendent.
A lunch was organized on the occasion for the Nursing Staff and guests.
