National Doctors Day Celebration – dated 1 July

The National Doctor’s Day is celebrated on July 1st all across India to honour the legendary physician and the second Chief Minister of West Bengal, Dr Bidhan Chandra Roy. He was born on July 1, 1882 and died on the same date in 1962. Doctors Day is observed to pay tribute to Dr B C Roy and salutes the spirit of his dedication. Doctor’s Day is a special day on which people honor physicians for their service and commitment to our community.

The doctor’s day was also celebrated in Rungta hospital on 1st July. The celebration stated with welcoming all the doctors by putting tikal and greeted them with a rose and a chocolate to make them feel special on the day. All the Doctors along with the other para medical staff were assembled in the cake cutting ceremony” on doctors day this was followed by lunch.

On this special day DR PP Khandelwal, Medical Director of Rungta Hospital thanked all the doctors for their contribution and dedication for the society.
